For the record, I got into Boston to meet Rich, Manda, and Andrew late, after a very slow drive through Wellesley traffic and ending up at Riverside instead of any slightly farther along green line stop, and after having shaved in the shower in a fashion that was much remarked upon. I don't think there are pictures.

(Resolved: shave with plenty of time and take the commuter rail, however empty the schedule.)

First attraction, Onward Toward Calgary, a very funny, very crazy film.

Manda posts far faster and better than I do so I'll quote her on the second event:

Later on that evening we went to the best party ever. Seriously. It was a Purim party (the first ever radical gender justice purim party!) put on by the Workman's Circle. First a group called Zili Misik played. Do yourself a favor, check them out and have your speakers turned up! Then came the shpiel, and when that was pretty much ended the What Cheer Brigade came marching down the stairs and into the main room. The place was going nuts! Everyone was dancing and jumping in time to the music. They had to STOP playing and tell everyone to stop jumping because the floor was bowing a good few inches with every bounce! So then everyone just danced ;)

We left the party around midnight and tried (unsuccessfully) to find a place to drink and relax. Damn Boston, closing too early. Back home and crashed.

I danced without harming anyone that I'm aware of. The transgender justice, blast gender roles take-off on the Purim story, performed as a play, was very interesting and very funny. The relationship between Ahashverosh and Esther has been forever rewritten: he just had to be told its OK to like butch women.

[Update: More on the justice groups benefiting.]
